Looking up at the huge skyscrapers in the financial district, shivering against the cold breeze brushing against her unprotected legs, Elke tries to conjure up a snapshot of how her life used to be. Walking to the office used to be a boring uneventful activity. All business and purpose, her mind used to be focused on the working day ahead.
