The carriage pulled up in the vast courtyard of a mansion deep in the countryside. Ivy did not recognize the scenery but took note of the two elves' clothes and the villa's architecture. They were probably still in the Kingdom of Lyra, she judged, named after the Goddess of Mercy.

For the first time, Ivy had been allowed outside the dungeon Master had held her in after kidnapping her. She had no idea how far he had taken her from Aman, the city where she had been working as a mage for hire, but if Ivy could find some familiar landmarks, she might be able to alert some friends to save her from this hell.

The mage whispered a small prayer to the goddess while trying her best to move gracefully on all fours. Dismounting the carriage was especially difficult since she had to abide by the three limb rule Isabella – she refused to use the name Master gave her - had taught her.

As soon as they had stopped, a zealous attendant had attached a wooden plank to the side of the carriage. \"Jade, it's good to see you. Is Diana here as well?\"

The friendliness in Master's voice caught her by surprise. His attitude reminded her that he had acted the same with her before spiking her drink.

He had sounded genuinely interested in Ivy and had made her feel right at home when she had met him. The intention had been to discuss the job request he had posted on the Adventurer's Guild bulletin board, something that turned out to be just an excuse to meet her alone.

\"Diana arrived a couple of hours ago and is waiting for us in the East Wing. The lounge there is the most comfortable one, and she has that beast to keep her company.\"

\"Oh, didn't you get her some of your boys? You were pretty proud of them last time.\"

\"Nah, she's obsessed with that dumb boy. I can't fault her though, he is impressive, both in looks and behavior.\"

\"She's always been a good trainer. I'm thinking of leaving Ivy with her for a couple of weeks once this whole mess blows over.\"

Three males and two females, the elves were all blonde and pale-skinned. They walked with perfect grace, in heavy contrast with Ivy's clumsy crawling and loud panting.

For this reason, Ivy wanted to avoid any more mistakes. She obediently followed her Master, lying down at his feet when he sat on a finely decorated recliner. Damn, she would kill to sit in a proper chair like a person.

Lana and Iris, also shielded by Master's influence, moved without hesitation towards a table at the back of the room. Beautiful gold inlaid trays held perfectly cut slices of fruit and expensive bottles of wine. After picking food and drink, the two elves immediately returned to Master's chair, sitting to either side of him on the recliner's arms.

Ivy watched the two girls serving her Master with rapt fascination. They moved in unison, feeding him fruit and drink, going as far as holding the cup directly to his mouth. On his part Master, who was now in a much better mood than before, was taking advantage of his free hands by fondling their supple bodies, making them giggle musically.

Ivy could not stop herself from crying, exhausted by two weeks of grueling abuse. She hoped, from the bottom of her heart, that the woman would not be offended by her outburst. Ivy could now feel Master's gaze trained upon her, and she braced herself for another explosion of pain. Luckily, it never came.

\"You must be struggling to adjust, you poor thing. Dyne told me you used to be a mage, isn't that something?\"

Ivy tried to end the hug the tiefling had caught her in, but Diana would not let her go. The woman traced her long, sharp nails along her back while keeping her locked in place.

\"I just don't get it! Why me? I did nothing wrong!\"

She was way out of line, she realized. And yet, she might not have another opportunity to ask the burning question she had been carrying for two weeks now.
