Chapter 1

\"Guilty!\" the judge banged the gavel. Annie Summers sat dumbfounded. She couldn't believe this was happening to her. Eleven months ago she had finished all her coursework and finally passed the CPA exam. She got a job at a small accounting firm in the city with a diverse clientele of the rich and powerful. Then two months ago the office was raided by the state regulatory commission. The senior partners were led out of the building in handcuffs. Annie thought she'd have to find a new job, instead she found herself desperately in search of a lawyer.

Apparently the senior partners had been tipped off about the investigation, they knew someone was going to go down for it, so they began forging documents to point the finger at Annie. She should have known better. They often came by her desk and told her to sign off on paperwork for accounts she'd never worked. They told her they did it all the time, that she needed to be a 'team player'. It made for a very open and shut case against her.

It didn't help that her bosses were all represented by the best law firm in the city, Prendergast & Summerfield, while she was stuck with an overworked and hopelessly outmatched public defender. When she was called as a witness during her bosses' trial their attorney, Lisa Shaw, had managed to manipulate Annie and twist her words so that she essentially implicated herself for the crime. Their cases were quickly dismissed and the full weight of the justice system came to bear on her.

Her attorney begged her to plead guilty to avoid a longer sentence, but Annie was adamant. \"I didn't do anything wrong. I won't plead guilty,\" she had said. Now as the judge considered her sentence, she hoped her pride wouldn't be her downfall.

Annie stared up at the judge. Judge Kellerman looked her up and down as she stood behind the defense table. Annie shuddered as his eyes hungrily lingered on her chest. The creep had been ogling her the entire trial, making casual remarks about how pretty she looked, or how she was too attractive to be on trial for such a serious offence - the kind of remarks that everyone else would pass off as a innocent old judge, but which made Annie incredibly uncomfortable. Judge Kellerman gaveled the case closed. Annie slumped down into her chair, stunned.

\"Oof, tough sentence,\" her public defender unhelpfully observed. \"I've got a few clients in Harden - it's no picnic. My advice to you is to keep your head down and don't attract any attention from anyone. With good behavior, maybe you'll be out of there in three or four years.\"

It was small consolation for Annie, who wiped a tear away from her eye as the bailiff approached to take her away.

Chapter 2

Warden Marissa Schwartz puffed on her cigar as she looked out the window of her office at the windowless white van taking the unwitting Kathy Winter away to the Group XS compound. Marissa furrowed her brow. She was expecting his visit, but not until tomorrow. She cleared her desk and instructed her assistant to let him in. A moment later a tall, overweight man in an ill-fitting suit shambled into her office. Marissa put on her best fake smile and stood up to greet him.

\"Mr. Hardman,\" she said, \"to what do I owe the pleasure?\"

\"Good morning, Warden Schwartz,\" he replied as he made himself comfortable in a chair beside her desk. \"I know I'm not due to perform your annual inspection until tomorrow, but I needed to drop by and let you know about a slight change in plans that came across my desk.\"

Marissa sat back down and slid her list of special inmates out of sight. It took great willpower to keep a look of contempt for the man off of her face. He'd been 'inspecting' her prison for years, however, she'd found early on that the surefire way to get a glowing inspection report with minimal prying into the affairs of her prison was to make a 'volunteer' prisoner available to him for an afternoon. He didn't even demand anything kinky, just some tart to polish his knob and then he'd be on his way.

\"Do tell,\" Marissa smiled.

\"Thank you for bringing this to my attention,\" Marissa continued. \"And since you're already here, perhaps you'd like to begin your inspection a little early... perhaps at the conjugal visit trailers?\"

Mr. Hardman put on a wry smile. \"Yes, I think that would be an excellent idea.\" He stood up from his chair. \"I think maybe a blonde today,\" he said.

\"Certainly,\" she replied. She went back to her directory of Section A prisoners to look for a 'volunteer'. Of course, the inspector's dalliance would be recorded and saved off. You never know when you might need some blackmail or a fall guy.

Chapter 3

Kathy shrieked into the wad of rubber jammed into her mouth as the van applied its brakes for what seemed like the thousandth time this journey. Despite her best efforts, her breathing grew ragged. Kathy stood teetering in fear and exhaustion, wondering why they were doing this to her. What had she done to deserve such cruel treatment? Who were these people? She needed to get ahold of someone at the prison to let them know that she had been abducted.

The woman paced up and down the rows, not saying anything, just looking each prisoner up and down with a scowl that did nothing to disguise her look of contempt for each woman. Finally she finished her inspection and walked to the front of the room to address the new arrivals.

\"Welcome to my prison,\" she said. \"I am Warden Schwartz. You will address me as such. You are here because you have made some bad decisions and this is where our justice system has decided to put people that make bad decisions. You might think that you can serve your time quietly and then be on your merry little way. Well, that's not how I do things in my prison.

\"Despite what the bleeding hearts in the state capital think, you are not here to be rehabilitated. You are here to be punished. When you leave my prison you will never want to come back. That's all the rehabilitation that you need. Is that clear?\"

There was a snicker in the back row. The warden's face hardened and she stormed up to the prisoner who dared to laugh at her. It was a young woman, in her early twenties. Her hair had been dyed purple and she had a full sleeve of tattoos running up each arm.

\"Is something funny to you?\" she growled into the woman's face.

\"Yeah. You,\" the woman laughed flippantly.

In a flash one of the female guards advanced on the prisoner and slammed her baton into the prisoner's gut. The woman doubled over. As she did so the guard grabbed one of her arms and wrenched it up behind her back. \"Show some respect for the warden,\" the guard growled.

\"What's your name?\" Warden Schwartz asked.

\"Ah! Ah!\" the prisoner cried as her arm was twisted higher up her back. \"Veronica Clark.\"

\"Well, Veronica,\" the warden said, ignoring the woman's distress. \"You're not starting things out on the right foot. I think a few days in our punishment section will give you a chance to adjust your attitude.\" She turned to the guard. \"Section A. Category A. Punishment detail.\"

The guard nodded and ushered Veronica out of the room with her tattooed arm still pinned up painfully behind her back. Marissa returned to her position in front of the prisoners. \"I will now be giving you your cell block assignment. Remember it. It will be your home for the duration of your stay.\"

She went to the end of the row, looked the prisoner there up and down one more time, then gave her an assignment. She did the same for each prisoner as she made her way down the row. Each woman being assigned to either Section A, B, or C. It could have just been Annie's imagination, but it seemed to her that all the younger and more attractive girls were assigned to Section A, whereas the older and rougher looking ones were given to Section B or C.

When the warden finally got to Annie, she held her breath while the stern warden eyed her like a piece of meat. She was quickly assigned to Section A, the same as the troublemaker, Veronica. Before she could think about what this meant, a guard came through the door ahead of them and barked, \"Section A prisoners, follow me.\"

Annie dutifully got in line and followed the guard out the door. The section A cellblock wasn't far away. They stopped at the end of a row of steel-barred cells. \"Alright, fresh meat,\" the guard announced. \"Welcome home.\"

They moved more slowly now as the guard yanked random girls out of line and assigned them to cells. Each of the newcomers was put into a cell with an existing inmate, who would ostensibly 'show them the ropes'. Annie looked at the faces of the women who'd already spent time in this prison. She thought she'd see hardened and angry expressions, instead she saw fear and defeat on their sunken and hollow eyes.

Annie was given her cell assignment and was surprised to see the cell empty. \"Your cellmate is in Special Detention,\" the guard explained. \"You might see her at dinner if she doesn't get herself in any more trouble.\"

The door slammed shut behind her and Annie took in the eight by ten foot room that would be her home for the rest of her sentence. Before she could get too comfortable though there was a commotion coming from the adjacent cell.

\"Open number thirty seven,\" the guard hollered down the hall. There was a loud buzz and the cell door swung open. Annie watched as the guard stormed into the cell and grabbed its occupant by her long red hair and dragged her out into the common area in view of all the cells. He threw her to the ground and went back into the cell. The red-headed girl quickly climbed to her feet and stood at attention with her hands behind her head, elbows pointing out.

\"What the hell is this, prisoner?\" the guard asked, returning from the cell holding a hairbrush.

The prisoner's eyes grew wide with fear. \"That's not mine,\" she stammered. \"It belongs to my cellmate. She's in Special Detention.\"

\"So you knew about it and didn't report it?\" the guard asked, clearly speaking loud enough for the benefit of the whole cellblock.

\"No, sir, I-\"

\"Silence! Your lies are only going to get you into more trouble.\"

The guard reached up to the prisoner's shoulders and tugged at the ties holding her jumpsuit together. The garment swiftly tumbled to the floor, leaving the terrified, trembling woman standing naked in front of everybody. Annie looked down at her own jumpsuit and noticed with trepidation that it, too, was held up by two flimsy ties at her shoulders.

\"Grab your ankles!\" ordered the guard.

Annie gasped as the woman immediately complied, thrusting her firm pale ass out for all to see. Without a moment's hesitation the guard walked around behind her, raised the hairbrush over his head, and whack! He slammed the flat side of the brush into her ass. \"Stand up,\" he said. The woman shakily reassumed her stance at attention, her elbows trembling as she held her arms behind her head. \"Have you learned your lesson?\"

\"Good. Let's not have this happen again or you'll be punished more severely,\" he said. \"Back to your cell.\"

The woman hurried back into her cell, moving stiffly as her flaming red ass ached with every step. The guard threw her uniform in after her and slammed the door shut.

The chain of prisoners marched back into the dark hallways of the prison, quickly dragged along by a guard indifferent to their exhaustion.
