I look around at the\nexhausted bodies littering the floor of the lounge. Only the most resilient of\nus are still awake after hours of debauchery, namely Diana, Jade, me, and Lana.

\n\n

The last one comes\nas a surprise since she is far beneath our level. The fact that a simple dark\nelf can endure such reveling is a testament to her determination. For this\nreason, Diana is taking it upon herself to run her into the ground.

\n\n

\"Stand on your\ntoes. Bend your knees. Spread your legs wide open. Good girl!\"

\n\n

\"Ahhhh- T-thank\nyou, Mistress!\"

\n\n

\"Stay still.\nDon't you dare hide that snatch from me. I want to see it drip. Good\ngirl!\"

\n\n

\"Ahhhh.\nAHH.\"

\n\n

Every compliment\nelicits an orgasm from the girl, who refuses to pass out despite climaxing over\nand over again. Jade is looking at her with surprise written on his face.

With a whimper,\nfollowed by a thud, Lana surrenders to Diana's little game. The tiefling smacks\nher lips before joining us at our table. A demure elven slave tops off our\ndrinks before scuttling away.

\n\n

\"So, gentlemen,\nare we really doing this?\"

\n\n

Diana's usual\nbravado is gone. A rare note of apprehension tinges her voice.

\n\n

\"We don't have\nmuch choice, do we? The Big Devil Himself wants it done. Dyne? Any\nthoughts?\"

\n\n

Jade downs a glass\nof dwarven whiskey before looking at me. Despite all his posturing, his time as\na slave for the elves has left his mark. Dwarves have always been good to him,\nand he still tries not to trade in Dwarven slaves whenever possible.

\n\n

\"There's no\npoint in dragging our feet. Asmodeus is testing us. Understandably so.\"

\n\n

I have made up my\nmind long ago, way before most members of the Cabal. Jade and Diana are young\ncompared to me, something I'm reminded of every time we need to get our hands\ndirty.

\n\n

\"Still, an\nactual goddess. How did she even survive? You have more experience, Dyne. What\nis your opinion?\"

\n\n

Diana is a different\nperson when she's not playing. Her powers are nothing to scoff at, but she\ntreats her comrades with proper respect. I can't help but think Ashtaroth has\nmade a good choice by picking her as His warlock.

\n\n

\"I think Lyra\nmust have sacrificed herself to cover Luna's escape. She is her daughter, after\nall. What's surprising is how she managed to stay hidden until now.\"

\n\n

\"At least that\nwas good for us. We only found out thanks to Tamara. If we hadn't captured that\npriestess whore, Asmodeus would have never found out Luna was still alive. At\nleast until it would have been too late.\"

\n\n

\"Yeah, my\nPatron told me that Asmodeus was very pleased with us.\"

\n\n

We spend the next\nhour discussing the details of our plan. Kidnapping a goddess, even a minor one\nlike Luna, is something most Sorcerers would consider insanity. On the other\nhand, most people who know of us think of the Cabal as a bunch of madmen. If someone\nis fit for this kind of job, it's probably us.

\n\n

An alarm bell\nflashes in my soul, and I spring into action. Ignoring the surprised stares of\nmy associates, I nudge Ivy awake with my foot. The puppy opens her eyes and\nlooks around, confused.

\n\n

\"Master, did I\nfall asleep? D-do you want to fuck me some more?\"

\n\n

\"Wake up, Ivy.\nWe are going home.\"

\n\n

\"What's going\non, Dyne?\"

\n\n

Jade's eyebrows\nraise in alarm. According to the original plan, I should be spending the night\nhere.

\n\n

\"Lily's Remnant\nis under attack. Somebody is looking for me.\"

\n\n

\n\n

Lily had barely any\nmana at her disposal. Master had only granted her enough to escape from an\nemergency. She was unprepared for a prolonged fight against a trained warrior.

\n\n

She had to admit the\nwoman was stronger than she had given her credit for. While no match for her\nprevious self, Rei was more than enough to deal with a mana-deprived Remnant\nlike the current Lily.

\n\n

The former Seawrath\nheiress was surprised she had managed to last this long.

\n\n

The house she had\nspent the whole day cleaning was in shambles. Lily had levitated every small\nobject she could find to use against the girl. It was a technique she had\nlearned from her father – a very mana-efficient way to attack.

\n\n

\"Where is\nAlissa? Tell me, or I will fucking kill you!\"

\n\n

The idiot girl hit a\npair of flying scissors with the back of her sword, breaking Lily's control\nover them. The metal object fell to the ground, joining the mess on the floor.

\n\n

Rei charged at Lily,\nwho avoided the strike by turning herself incorporeal when the sword passed\nthrough her. She returned to normal an instant later, hitting the warrior with\na barehanded strike to the face.

\n\n

The bitch was\nfreakishly resilient – or Lily's strike too weak to hurt – so Lily back-stepped to try and gain some\nspace. The furious warrior pursued her without missing a beat. A look of rage\ndistorting her face.

\n\n

Lily had enjoyed\ntelling her all about Ivy's training to rile her up. The warrior had thought it\na sick joke at first and had yelled at her to stop spouting nonsense. Lily had\nto show her the remains of the puppy's old uniform, now in tatters, to convince\nher.

\n\n

It was at that point\nthat Rei had started attacking Lily in a fit of rage. Lily had rejoiced when\nthe warrior had hit her the first time. She needed the girl to stay here, or\nshe would alert the authorities.

\n\n

It was a dangerous\ngame, but she couldn't contact her Master otherwise. Lily doubted she could\nhave kept the warrior in the house until tomorrow, and Sending spells did not\nwork towards Master Jade's mansion. He had warded the whole building against\nspells, to prevent scrying or other forms of espionage.

\n\n

Master was also too\nfar away for her to speak to him through her Soul Brand. Only the most basic\nfunctions of the spell worked at this distance. Lily could even try to escape\nfrom Master – as if she would ever do something so demented – proof of how much\ntrust he placed in her.

\n\n

The only way she\ncould alert Master was by damaging the body he had given her. Master had\nconjured it from his Mana, so he would immediately feel if something was wrong\nwith it, as long as he was on the same plane of existence. Lily hoped with all\nher heart that Master had not decided to visit the Hells on a whim, or she\nwould soon end up there as well.

\n\n

\"There's\nnowhere left to go bitch! Tell me where Alissa is, or I will end you.\"

\n\n

Lily's breathing was\nragged, and Rei had pinned her against the wall with her sword. She could turn\nincorporeal, but that required a lot of Mana for just a couple of seconds. Out\nof ideas, she was about to attempt a suicide attack. If she had to die, she\nwould drag the whore to The Hells with her.

\n\n

A familiar tingle in\nher Soul Brand stopped her just in time.

\n\n

\"I will not\ntell you a second time. Why the fuck is a Remnant like you dressing up as a\nmaid? Where is that piece of shit?\"

\n\n

Lily couldn't help\nbut beam at the warrior. A saccharine smile that was so creepy she could see\nRei shiver. Before Ivy's friend could compose herself, Lily's favorite voice\nfilled the room.

\n\n

\"Look, Ivy.\nYour friend has come looking for you. Isn't that exciting?\"

\n\n

Ivy wanted to\nscream. She wanted to yell at Rei to run away, to never look for her again, to\ntell the others to forget about her forever. But she couldn't bring herself to\ndo it.

\n\n

Too afraid of\nMaster's punishment, she could only lower her head before replying with her\nmost demure voice.

\n\n

\"Yes, Master,\nthis cunt is very excited to meet her friend again.\"

\n\n

She was such a\nfucking coward. Rei's flabbergasted expression only made her feel worse,\nreminding her of her previous self. The proud Mage Rei knew had disappeared in\njust a couple of weeks. A meek puppy had taken her place, too scared to warn\nher companion of the danger she faced.

\n\n

Ivy just hoped\nMaster would go easy on her.

\n\n

\"A-Alissa, what\nthe fuck are you doing? Get your hands off her, you piece of shit!\"

\n\n

Master's amused\nexpression made the lump in Ivy's stomach worse. Rei was strong. Ivy knew that.\nYet, despite having never seen her Master fight, she could tell her friend was\nno match for him.

\n\n

\"Now, now.\nLet's not jump to conclusions. Ivy here is participating in our little game of\nher own free will. Aren't you, darling?\"

\n\n

With a tug on her\nleash, Master prompted her to reply.

\n\n

\"Yes, Master.\nThis fuckpet is willing to obey your every command.\"

\n\n

\"What The Hells\nare you on about Alissa! Who the fuck is Ivy?\"

\n\n

The mage could not\nbear to look at her friend. Her only hope was to convince Rei to leave without\nhaving to fight Master. The most humiliating thing was that her tail had\nstarted wagging furiously at the disgusted looks her friend was sending her\nway.

\n\n

\"Are you\ntelling me you're some kind of pervert who enjoys this shit? I don't buy it.\nYou wouldn't disappear without telling us. We've been looking for you\neverywhere!\"

\n\n

The warrior was\nscreaming, brandishing her sword around.

\n\n

\"I-I don't...\nPlease leave, Rei. Leave and don't look for me again.\"

\n\n

Master was twirling\nher leash in his hands, amused by the exchange. Rei must have noticed his\nexpression because she flew into an even wilder rage.

\n\n

\"I know you\nhave something to do with this, and your maid is a Godsdamned ghost. Unhand\nAlissa immediately, or I'll have to make you.\"

\n\n

Master was unfazed\nby Rei's threats. He crossed the room, reaching for a drink. Ivy crawled behind\nhim, careful not to let the leash go taut.

\n\n

\"I don't think\nyou are in a position to make demands. I think you should apologize for\ntrashing my house first.\"

\n\n

Ivy could tell\nsomething horrible was about to happen, judging by the excited look on Isab–\nLily's face. The Remnant looked like she could barely contain her glee, and Ivy\nknew she had to do something.

\n\n

Before Rei could\nstart screaming at Master again, the mage interjected. But only after making\nsure Master had finished talking.

\n\n

\"Rei,\nseriously, you have to leave. I'm happy here; this is my place. I love my\nMaster very much, and I want to spend my life serving him. I didn't warn you\nbecause I could stand any of you anymore, and I knew you wouldn't understand.\nPlease get the fuck out of this place!\"

\n\n

Ivy hoped her\ncompanion would pick up some clues from the urgency in her voice. But Master,\nwith deliberate timing, rested both his feet on her back.

\n\n

Whatever caution she\nhad tried to invoke in her friend had been dashed by the sight of him treating\nIvy like a footrest.

\n\n

''That's it. I'm\ngoi–NGHHAAAA\"

\n\n

Rei's charge was\nshort-lived. A wave of psychic energy slammed into her, making her collapse to\nthe ground. Ivy had felt Master casting the spell, but had been too afraid to\nalert her friend. The mere thought of going against his wishes filled her with\ninescapable dread.

\n\n

As soon as the\nwarrior fell to the floor, Lily left the room. The Remnant returned soon after,\ncarrying some rope. With practiced movements, she started tying Rei up as she\nconvulsed on the floor.

\n\n

The psychic blast\nhad rendered her completely unable to retaliate. Ivy could see Rei struggle\nthrough the tears welling up in her eyes but did not move to stop Lily. The\nRemnant made sure the warrior couldn't move before kneeling towards their\nMaster. He nodded, then adjusted his feet on Ivy's back, forcing her to arch\nit.

\n\n

Master must have\nfelt the Mage's despair because he wasted no time twisting the knife.

\n\n

\"Don't worry,\nIvy. Since you weren't able to convince your friend to calm down, we will have\nto get her trained as well. I have already alerted a friend to come and pick\nher up.\"

\n\n

This was bad. She\nhad to do something. She owed it to her friend to at least try convincing\nMaster.

\n\n

\"Please,\nMaster. Would you consider letting her go? I promise I will do anything.\"

\n\n

\"But you will\nalready do anything I tell you, won't you? Or are you saying the last warning\nwasn't enough?\"

\n\n

\"No! No,\nMaster! You are right, of course. This fuckpet was stupid and was not\nthinking.\"

\n\n

She couldn't do it.\nShe just couldn't. The mere prospect of being punished again was enough to make\nher freeze. She had always thought she was the type of person who would give\nher life to save her friends. Now, she realized how naive she had been.

\n\n

Lily had been right\nfrom the very first day: she was nothing more than a selfish slut.

\n\n

\"I thought so.\nI would have loved to keep her and let you two play for a while. Unfortunately,\nwe need to leave the house, or Lily's father will grace us with a visit\nsoon.\"

\n\n

\"Master, who\nare we selling her to?\"

\n\n

Lily asked with a\nglint in her eyes. The warrior struggled against her restraints and tried to\nyell something, but the Remnant had stuffed Rei's mouth with the discarded\nremains of Ivy's old uniform.

\n\n

\"To an old\nfriend you know very well. It's been a few years since you last saw him, so I'm\nsure you'll be happy to entertain him. He was instrumental in turning you into\na good puppy, after all.\"

\n\n

To Ivy's shock, Lily\nfroze on the spot. The Remnant started trembling, tears forming in her eyes.

\n\n

\"I-is Lord\nElzor coming to visit?\"

\n\n

\"Indeed. I am\nsure he will be happy to see you again.\"

\n\n

\"T-this cunt\ni-is beside herself with happiness.\"

\n\n

\"Good, because\nIvy refused to follow one of my orders today. Consider this your punishment for\nbeing too soft on her.\"

\n\n

Ivy had never seen\nso much hatred in someone's gaze. The physical sensation of loathing dripping\nthrough the soul connection she shared with Lily made the Mage recoil. Despite\nMaster not mentioning that she had interrupted him on the carriage, he still had\nnot forgotten her refusal to comply with his commands during the party.

\n\n

She had thought\nMaster was in a good mood, but she was beginning to understand that he was the\ntype of man who would never let something go unpunished.

\n\n

\"I will make\nyou pay for this.\"

\n\n

Ivy could only\nshiver. Whoever this Lord Elzor was, she hoped he would go easy on Lily.\nWhoever he was, he could not be crueler than Master, she thought. One look at\nher friend still writhing on the floor reaffirmed this conviction.

\n\n

Her hopes shattered\na moment later when a crimson, fiery portal appeared in the middle of the\nliving room.

\n\n
